Hi Wendy, I have a Kochman family tree from a book I received with short biographies of families in Lancut. My 3x’s great grandmother was Anna Kochman. If you’d like the tree and other information please contact me at gdouglas8@outlook.com and I’ll be happy to forward it.
I have a few questions as well, but I’ll wait to hear from you. Thanks. Gail
Hi, I have nominated you for a Liebster Award for your wonderful blog. You can see it here: http://amongmybranches.wordpress.com/2013/03/17/liebster-blog-award/
Congratulations! William (amongmybranches)
Hi William!
Oh my! Thank you so much – I am glad that you enjoy it so far. I will have a look at your blog and do a post in the next day or so.
I really appreciate that you took the time to include my blog on your list!
Wendy
I enjoyed your comments about skeletons in the closet. As I was beginning research into my father’s side of the family, I came across some shocking information about my grandfather. I was able to verify the facts with my Grandmother, who wasn’t too happy (understatement!) with what I had uncovered. Placed within the time period, political climate and locale, the facts are more understandable. But I decided that most people wouldn’t look at things that way, that they’d judge the information, and by extension, the family, by today’s standards, so, for now, my “story” stays within the immediate family,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I am glad that you weighed the pros and cons – I find that I tend to look at the circumstances, time period, etc. before judging, but others are not always the same way.
Wendy
