I am still not over my wonderful ‘finds’ from my grandmother, as discussed in my last post. After 3 hours of scanning and putting those photos in various piles, I looked at the box. It didn’t even look like I put a dent in all the stuff that is in there.

The Top 10 Reasons People Stop Doing Genealogical Research
{Disclaimer: This is not meant to be serious. If you tend to be serious, it’s best to just wait for my next blog post ☺ }
10) My tree doesn’t seem to branch out like other people’s trees.
9) I’ve been talking to more dead people than living people.
8) My family cannot find me amongst all the documentation, pictures, certificates, etc.
7) I’ve spent all my money on memberships and family tree type software.
6) I cancelled my anniversary dinner because I was bringing down a ‘brick wall’.
5) My library has banned me from using their Ancestry Library Edition.
4) A local cemetery asked for my W-4 when I went into the office.
3) I’m subscribed to all 3000+ genealogy blogs on Geneabloggers.
2) Courthouses aren’t open 24/7.
And the #1 Reason People Stop Doing Genealogical Research is:
1) I just found out that I am related to Justin Bieber.
The #1 reason would wilt my tree as well!!

E-e-e-e-e-e-K! Though I s’pose it could be worse–say Al Capone!
