Tombstone Tuesday – David Owen Humphreys

David Owen Humphreys was born in October 17, 1891, in Gardner, Grundy, Illinois.

He was the son of William Owen Humphreys and Gwendolyn Lloyd Humphreys.

He married Helen Warman prior to 1917.  I have been unsuccessful at finding the marriage so far.  Probably a trip to the courthouse is necessary.

In the 1920 census, he had three children:  Richard, Hildred, and Marion.

David Humphreys was buried on June 23, 1947, in Cotton Cemetery, Braceville, Grundy, Illinois.

Funeral Card Friday – Rose (Bromberek) Helix

I have been posting about the Bromberek-Helix family this week.  This is the third and last post on them this week – Rosie’s Funeral Card.  She was a great woman and cousin.  I used to love to go over to her house as a child and run up and down the hill in her back yard (her house was on the base of a hill).  Her house was also painted pink, so it’s hard to forget!
